Welcome to our Forge of Empires Forge Bowl Event 2023 Event Guide!
About The Forge Bowl Event
Since 2018, the Forge Bowl event has always been the first event of each year, starting around mid-January.
Everyone starts the game with an initial stock of 250 balls, and then there are 120 balls each for logging in daily.
The incidents in and around the city also occasionally bring more balls, often 5, 10, or 20, but with a lot of luck, sometimes more.
Then there are 110 balls for each of the 35 rush quests and 130 balls for each of the 21 daily quests. They are the usual quests. They go easily by hand.
Then for solving the 5th quest, you get the first milestone reward, the Pergola Level 1.
For the 30th and the 56th quest, there is an upgrade kit for the Pergola each.
This new event building can initially be upgraded to level 10 with such upgrade kits.
When upgrading to level 11, you can then choose between the Pizzeria and the Bistro.
At this highest level, both buildings then provide many medals, supplies, and up to 25% attack bonus for the attacking army, depending on the age.
The two buildings differ in their additional bonuses, which are granted when the building is motivated.
For example, the Bistro produces more Forge points, fewer goods, and an additional fragment of a plus-1 kit, requiring 30 fragments for a kit.
This is the building that new players, in particular, should opt for. They can well accelerate the development of the city with 12 additional Forge points per day.
Players of higher ages usually already have so many daily Forge Points that a few more or less hardly matters.
Especially with the upcoming new age, however, goods of the current and previous age, as well as storage kits, can be interesting.
Forge Bowl Event Daily Specials & Prizes
Among the daily specials of this event, you can find the main prizes of previous years, especially the Terracotta Vineyard selection kit, the Fiore Village, the Colossus selection kit, and the Olympic Vault selection kit.
But the Altar Garden and Victory Square are also among the daily specials. There’s something for everyone.
Forge Bowl Event Mini-Game
As usual, you pay for each move with some of the collected balls. There are more expensive players and cheaper players.
Without going too much into this analysis in the guide: almost always, the cheapest player is the best choice.
More expensive players bring a little more forward momentum but often cost more than they bring in addition. So just always choose the cheapest player.
As usual, there is a coach. Depending on the coach, you get a special advantage for every move.
The standard coach offers a 3% chance of doubling the price received for a move, possibly even the daily special.
You really get two!
- The Progress Coach advances the selected player one additional yard per turn.
- The Special Coach grants a 5% increased chance to win the daily special.
- The League Coach doubles the league points, which count at the end for the success-dependent classification in the respective league, which is rewarded with extra rewards.
This all sounds good, and in fact, you want to have it all.
In fact, this option exists, but everyone already suspects it, not for free.
Attention: The selected coach is fired again after one day. Either you pay again, or you have the standard coach again.
As a result, it is advisable to only collect all the balls during the event and not to use them immediately in the mini-game.
If there is a particularly desirable daily special towards the end of the event, you buy the best trainer once for 150 diamonds.
Now you use all the balls you’ve collected up to that point in a single day.
However, do not choose the player with the best chance of winning the daily special, but as mentioned, the player with the most propulsion per ball used.
This then guarantees the main prize, and with a bit of luck, a place in the Silver League is also possible.
By alternatively choosing the player with the highest chance of winning the daily special, the number of daily specials could still be marginally increased, but in my opinion, this does not compensate for the other disadvantages and will therefore only be an interesting alternative for very few players.
We think we can all really look forward to this event again.
