Have you recently started playing Forge of Empires. Did you begin with a name that you no longer like, or want to have? Well you’re going to need to know how to change it. Thankfully, it’s pretty simply. This is all you need to do.

So, how do you change your name in Forge of Empires? To change your name in Forge of Empires, you need to navigate to the game settings. Open the ‘profile’ tab, then select “change username”. From here, enter your desired new username, and then confirm with your account password.

And that’s pretty much it.

Just consider that upon the change, you will be logged out.

You will then need to log back in to continue playing.

How Many Times Can You Change Your Name In Forge of Empires?

You can change your name as many times as you want in Forge of Empires, though consider, you can only do so twice per year, or every 180 days.

Therefore, do spend some time to think about your name, as you will need to have it for the next 6 months, at the very minimum!

Things To Consider When Changing Your Username In Forge of Empires

  • Once you change your username, it will apply to all worlds.
  • Your username will become visible to all players, straight away.
  • You will need to use your new username to access your account.
  • Username changes cannot be reversed.
  • Your former username will become available for other players to use 60 days after you make the change.
  • The minimum length of a username is 4 characters.
  • The maximum length of a username is 24 characters.
  • You cannot use the following characters in a username: ! * ” § ² ³ $ % & / { ( ) [ } ] \ ´ + ~ ‘ # _ : , ; < > | ^ °
  • Some names may not be possible if they violate they include profanities or violate the games rules.
  • You must use the web browser to change your username, it is not currently possible to do so through the app.
  • You can contact the InnoGame’s support team for help with changing your username. They can do this on your behalf if it is available.
